Almost two weeks ago, 35 people from 12 different non-profit organizations and 2 businesses gathered for the 2nd annual Denver summit of Uganda Unite.
Our theme was to strengthen strategy for maximum impact in this incredible land of contrasts. We all share the same love for the country and people of Uganda and it was inspiring to be surrounded by passionate people who want to make a difference.

Sam and Emily Voorhies (Voorhies International Consulting) carry between them extensive experience in missions and non-profit work in Africa and around the world. Their perspectives were invaluable when it came to topics of leadership and growth of an organization. They told us of their successes as well as their failures, which gave us things to think about and take back to our respective organizations in order to increase effectiveness.
Steve Kaloper, with Development Services Group, has a passion for doing good better and helped us to understand the importance of cultivating relationships with our donors. He emphasized the importance of knowing the hearts of those giving to our organizations and how they must know the heart of our ministry/organization as well.
Topics Covered:
* Leading From Within
* Organizational Growth
* Cultivating Relationships with Donors for Successful Fundraising
* Social Media & its Role
* Networking/Partnerships
Once again, friendships were formed, we shared learning and resources, were encouraged by one another and united in one purpose — to empower the people of Uganda to change their nation by coming alongside and partnering with them.
