Lately we have been talking a lot about beads & showing some pictures of the process ROWAN members use for making them. Now that we’ve learned about how they are made, lets meet some of the amazing people that make them. Each one of them has (sometimes a sad) story to tell. Today, meet Joyce, she is from the village of Busambira.

Flashback to Joyce of 2011

Joyce & her husband Stanley take care of 5 biological children & lucky 2 orphans. Her favorite color is black (because she is black!) & her hero is her husband (aw) who she loves to farm with. Joyce prays for a good life physically, socially & economically. If she could travel anywhere then she would love to go to America & visit everyone who buys her beads!

For over a decade, ROWAN (through your donations) has helped a lot of deserving people like Joyce live a better life. Enabling them to grow personally, spiritually & financially. Thanks so much to everyone who has helped to make all of the ROWAN projects possible!

We will continue to share photographic stories of the amazing people of ROWAN, both past & present. Their strength & smiles should be an inspiration to us all. Please keep them in your prayers & if you want to help, we’d also love for you to get involved. Plus, be sure to check our more beading pics.
