April 7th is World Health Day, a yearly opportunity for drawing worldwide attention to the extreme importance of global health.
What it Means to Us
Established in 1950, the event celebrates a new theme every year, drawing attention & awareness to a current world health issue. The WHO promotes a variety of events on April 7th related to the yearly theme. Local governments often use this day to promote their own community, city or state events with similar themes.
At ROWAN we think this is a great day for everyone, no matter where they are, to evaluate the health practices of their own family. How well do you eat? How often do you exercise? Do your habits contribute to a healthy future? Preventative care & proper health education can save years of heartache. Today is a great day to talk to your kids about daily health habits!
Get Involved Today!
Eduction, communication & preventative care are perhaps the most important points to remember. A great way to teach any family about health is to sponsor someone who’s life has been directly affected by AIDS/ HIV.
