The Facts:
-There are 200 secondary school kids from Mawanga.
-Closest secondary school is 20 miles away (3-hour walk by foot)
– Majority of students who graduate do not get the chance to university or learn skills for livelihood.
-Over 50% of these students are orphans.

Mawanga needs a secondary school. It’s a dream that we are going to pray into reality.
You see, a school is the key to transformational change within this community. Not only will it spur new employment opportunities but it will help to implement quality faith-based education, vocational training, and international teaching. Plus, it will play a crucial role in sustaining ROWAN as a ministry.
Currently, there is no secondary school in the region. Our dream is to build a school in the village for our children to experience quality education, while simultaneously learning vocational skills. That way, by the time they graduate, they will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to start or run a local business! The vocational classes will also be open to our widows, so they can learn a variety of skills to make a living for their families.
Kelsey will be traveling to Mawanga in August to look at the land available and speak to the authorities about how to begin this process.

-For sufficient funds and resources to complete the project.
-For a plot of land to open up for the school.
-For wisdom and guidance in getting the project going.
-For the community and it’s leaders to have faith in the project and the willingness to help as needs arise.
