At ROWAN we are determined to help the women & children whose lives have been full of struggle. Our primary objectives are ensuring everyone is fed, healthy & learning new things or skills. About Maureen
We met Maureen at our 2017 ROWAN Christmas party while we were raising funds for the Hall of Hope building. The villages offered to bring donations to the party instead of receiving gifts, to help raise the needed funds. It was heartwarming to see, people brought chickens, goats, fruit, etc. to contribute to the cause.
At one point Pastor Paul felt a tug on his pant leg & turned around to see little Maureen looking up at him. She is handicapped & had crawled over to him to give the only coin that she had. Paul didn’t recognize her & with tears in his eyes received the greatest gift of the day. She was full of joy & so excited to be able to contribute.
Pulling the Heartstrings
Not long after, ROWAN placed her in a beautiful school for handicapped children. She couldn’t believe how loved she felt! We are overjoyed that someone with such a big heart is getting so much love in return. Everyone at the school adores her & she is excelling in all her subjects. Your sponsorship will help us keep her in a school that is sensitive to her special needs & allow her to look forward to higher education.
