Kelsey Aylard’s reflections of ROWAN

My trip with ROWAN allowed me to connect personally with the widows and orphans the ministry serves. Visiting their homes and hearing their stories made the impact of ROWAN’s work real to me in a way that pictures or reports never could.

What stood out to me the most was the sense of family within the organization. ROWAN feels like a small town where everyone knows and supports one another, and being welcomed into that environment was deeply meaningful to me. I especially loved getting to know the Ugandan staff — they are so full of joy and committed to loving their community!
